Kevin B. McGovern, Ph.D

Is a licensed psychologist who has been in private clinical practice for Kevin McGovernmore than 38 years. He is one of the foremost experts in the Pacific Northwest in the area of human sexuality and related problems. For the last 30 years, he has evaluated sexual abuse victims regarding the damaging effects of their abuse.


Dr. McGovern has completed over 4,500 sexual disorder evaluations, including internet addictions and crimes. He has provided treatment to sexual offenders, as well as victims, and has testified in court as an expert witness in both criminal and civil cases, ranging from personal injury to complex criminal matters.


Dr. McGovern has been a university professor, a conference presenter, a legal consultant, and a clinician on staff at local hospitals. He has provided professional services to the State of Oregon, the State of Washington, and throughout the Western United States.


He is the founder of Alternatives to Sexual Abuse, which provides training programs on a variety of forensic topics. He has also developed tools for the education of children to enhance their general awareness of sexual abuse, including the game "Be Safe... Be Aware".

Jill K. McGovern, Ph.D


Is a licensed psychologist who is in private practice, and has worked as a consultant to attorneys in the the State of Oregon and the State of Washington. Dr. McGovern has conducted evaluations to determine the extent of psychological damages in a variety of matters ranging from sexual and physical abuse, to physical injuries and has conducted evaluations in criminal matters of those with Asperger's Disorder, including those with internet crimes. She provides assessments of at-risk youth, both in schools and in the community.


She treats sexual abuse survivors and provides boundary training to those who have committed minor sexual offenses as well as therapy to individuals for a variety of anxiety, mood and behavioral disorders. She as consulted with attorneys in numerous cases related to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and the provision of special education services

Dr. McGovern has been a school psychologist for more than 32 years and has evaluated children from infancy through adolescence with a wide variety of problems ranging from developmental disorders, Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, and learning disorders to behavioral and emotional disturbances.
